Using blockchain technology to help and increase economic access and freedom across the globe. We are looking for engineers with different levels of expertise to be part of our startup.
The role
As Buenbit’s cybersecurity engineer, you must be inquisitive, curious, and passionate about cybersecurity. You'll partner with other lines of business, to respond to evolving business requirements, emerging threats and regulatory requirements. You'll also leverage your expert knowledge of today's ever-changing cybersecurity and risk landscape to influence IT operations across the company. Responsibilities include offering guidance, best practices, and support across businesses, leading risk reviews and vulnerability assessments, identifying threats, communicating with senior leaders and other stakeholders, and understanding regulations to work with audits and regulators.
What you’ll do:
- Create security documents that cover security feature testing, fuzzing, application penetration testing, and regression
- Perform SAST/DAST and penetration testing on mobile and web applications
- Triage and validate security vulnerabilities found or reported, and work with our development engineering teams on resolutions
- Implement OWASP standards in the product life cycle
- Conduct security tests and identify potential vulnerabilities (OWASP top 10) for improving security designs or implementations
- Communicate issues to our application owners, provide meaningful remediation recommendations, and validate that they have been resolved
- Develop or employ 3rd party security test automation solutions for regression testing
- Validate new security features and updates into existing products and ensure the security is maintained throughout the product life cycle
- Security incident management
Requisitos
What you’ve done:
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Working knowledge on secure development practices
- Capable of delivering work that meets/performs to functional requirements based on business requirements
- Experience delivering vulnerability assessments
- Assist with Auditing Tasks
Nice to have:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field
- Leadership, guiding other team members toward achieving a common goal
- Cybersecurity certifications
- Previous experience with examination and evaluation of products security
- Awareness or experience of industry standard methodology (ISO27001)
- IT General Control, Data Privacy work, ISO27001; IT Risk and audit experience
